Flat Suction Cup Materials

Flat suction cups are available in different elastomer and polyurethane materials depending on surface condition, temperature, wear resistance and chemical exposure. Common options include NBR, NR, silicone, PU and FKM.

NBR – common choice for industrial handling and good resistance to oils
Silicone – suitable where temperature resistance and flexibility are important
PU – high wear resistance and dimensional stability
FKM – suitable for demanding chemical or temperature conditions

Flat suction cups are generally preferred for smooth and relatively flat surfaces where fast vacuum build-up, precise positioning and good lateral stability are required. Bellows suction cups provide additional height compensation and improved adaptability for uneven, curved or variable-height workpieces.
