Custom Vacuum Suction Cups & OEM Manufacturing
When a standard suction cup does not fit your application, EUROTECH offers alternative material versions, custom vacuum suction cup manufacturing and OEM supply based on your project requirements.
Most existing EUROTECH suction cup designs can be produced using established compounds and existing molds. If your application requires a different geometry or mounting arrangement, we can also review the scope of a custom project.
Tell us what you need to handle, how the suction cup connects to your equipment, and where your current solution falls short. Share drawings, dimensions or reference photos to start a project discussion.
Discuss Your Suction Cup RequirementsWhen Do You Need a Custom Vacuum Suction Cup?
A custom solution may be worth considering when your equipment, workpiece or operating conditions require specifications beyond an existing catalog product.
- Your available gripping area requires a specific size or profile.
- Your machine has particular mounting or connection requirements.
- Your operating environment calls for a different material specification.
- You need suction cups for an OEM equipment project.
- You cannot identify a suitable standard replacement for an existing cup.
First, explore our standard industrial vacuum suction cups or use the suction cup replacement finder. An existing design may already meet your dimensional requirements, with an alternative material version available for evaluation.
Alternative Materials Using Existing Suction Cup Molds
Changing the suction cup material does not always require a new mold. Most EUROTECH suction cup designs can be manufactured using existing tooling and established compounds, including NBR, HNBR and FKM options for suitable applications.
Existing design families include 200 PK, 280 PK, R, RL, A, B and CO flat suction cups, together with oval types. The exact model, material version, hardness and operating requirements are confirmed during selection.
Existing Design, Alternative Material
Start with an established suction cup geometry and review a different compound for your temperature, surface or chemical exposure requirements. A new mold is generally unnecessary when the selected version can use existing tooling.
New Geometry or Machine Interface
If an existing design does not meet your dimensional or installation requirements, share your drawing or reference part. We can review the required changes and confirm whether new tooling or other development is needed.
To assess which compound may suit your operating conditions, read our NBR, HNBR and FKM suction cup selection guide. You can also browse our flat vacuum suction cups and oval vacuum suction cups to identify a suitable starting design.
Existing tooling and application validation: Using an existing mold can avoid a new tooling project, but a material change still requires confirmation of dimensions, sealing behavior and performance under the intended operating conditions. Availability and lead time are confirmed for the selected product.
Custom Suction Cup Requirements We Can Review
The scope of customization is assessed for each project. Useful specifications include:
Dimensions & Geometry
Required diameter, length, width, height, sealing profile, available contact area and installation space.
Material & Hardness
Your requested compound and hardness, together with operating temperature, contact duration, surface conditions and exposure to oils or chemicals.
Mounting & Machine Interface
Connection dimensions, mounting position, base plate details and the surrounding equipment layout.
OEM Supply Requirements
Initial order quantity, expected repeat demand, project schedule and any inspection or documentation requirements.
For background on the wider range of materials, see our vacuum suction cup material guide. Final material availability and specifications are confirmed for the selected design and application.
Material Selection for Hot Plastic Parts
Heated plastic components introduce additional selection requirements. The suction cup must fit the available contact area, maintain a reliable seal and handle the workpiece without unacceptable deformation or surface effects.
For these applications, include the actual contact temperature, contact duration, cycle time and any painting, printing or bonding requirements with your inquiry. Our guide to vacuum suction cups for hot plastic parts explains how to evaluate materials and cup geometry for injection-molded components and other heated plastic workpieces.
How to Start Your Custom Suction Cup Project
- Share your application. Describe the workpiece, equipment and problem you want to solve. Include drawings or reference photos where available.
- Review existing designs and material options. We first assess whether an existing suction cup and established compound can meet your requirements using available tooling.
- Discuss any additional customization. If needed, review changes to geometry, material, mounting arrangement and supply requirements.
- Confirm specifications and validation. Agree on the proposed scope, quotation and any tooling, sampling or application validation needed before production.
- Confirm the order and delivery plan. Production and delivery arrangements follow the agreed project specifications and commercial terms.
What to Include in Your OEM Suction Cup Inquiry
- Drawing, dimensions, photos or an existing part reference.
- Workpiece material, weight, shape and surface condition.
- Handling orientation, movement and cycle requirements.
- Operating vacuum level, if known.
- Contact temperature, contact duration and exposure to oils, chemicals or cleaning agents.
- Any painting, printing, coating or bonding requirements after handling.
- Required material, hardness and mounting details, if specified.
- Initial quantity, estimated annual demand and target delivery date.

Custom Vacuum Suction Cup FAQ
Can I send a drawing or an existing suction cup reference?
Yes. Include drawings, dimensions or clear photos in your inquiry. These provide a starting point for reviewing the requested part and its application. Contact us before sending a physical sample.
Does changing the material require a new mold?
In many cases, no. Most existing EUROTECH suction cup designs can be produced using established compounds and existing molds. The selected model and material version are reviewed to confirm specifications and application suitability.
Can I request HNBR, FKM or a specific hardness?
Yes. Tell us your requested material or hardness and the operating conditions. We can review the available compound options for the selected suction cup design and confirm the appropriate specifications during project review.
Will a different material have the same handling performance?
Not necessarily. Changing the compound can affect flexibility, sealing, friction and deformation. The alternative version should be evaluated under the intended temperature, surface and handling conditions.
What are the minimum order quantity and lead time?
Request product-specific confirmation of minimum order quantity and lead time. Include your selected model, material, expected order volume and target delivery date. For new designs, any tooling requirements are confirmed as part of the quotation.
Should I choose a standard or custom suction cup?
Start by checking whether an existing product meets your requirements. If the geometry is suitable but the material is not, an alternative compound using existing tooling may be an option. A custom design is worth discussing when the required geometry, interface or application specification cannot be met by the existing range.
