How do I choose a vacuum lifter for glass or sheet material?
Start with the maximum workpiece weight, dimensions and surface airtightness. Then define horizontal or vertical handling, any pivoting or turnover, the supporting crane, power source and environment. A family rating alone does not confirm a complete lifting configuration.
Which EUROTECH lifters offer battery operation?
The reviewed eT-Hover-univac and eT-Hover-univac-line-mini use battery operation. The eT-Litocran700 attachment has its own power arrangement for mobile installation. Select “Yes — battery-powered” to screen these options, then confirm charging, duty cycle and carrier compatibility.
When is eT-Gripper worth considering?
Consider eT-Gripper for smooth, rough-sawn, uneven or corrugated surfaces, including timber with cracks and knotholes. Applications include structural timber, planed or glued panels, pallets, crate components and sheets of metal, ceramic, plastic or stone. Its compact aluminium design supports industrial robots and gantry systems.
Usually fitted with half-closed-cell EPDM, the gripper offers service-friendly suction mats. Adhesive-backed replacement options, 10–30 mm material thicknesses and application-specific hole patterns help tailor the gripping interface.
What is the difference between pivoting, rotation and turnover?
A 90° pivot moves a workpiece from flat to upright. In-plane rotation turns it within the same plane. A 180° turnover turns the workpiece face over. These motions require different configurations; eT-Hover-loop is the reviewed family for 180° turnover.
Can an indoor load rating be used outdoors?
Do not assume the same rating applies. For eT-Hover-univac-line-mini, the reviewed outdoor vertical ratings are 100 kg with bellows cups and 140 kg with flat cups, while indoor handling is rated up to 200 kg. Confirm the exact version and site conditions.
What if the guide does not show a suitable family?
Use the application inquiry. Unsupported movement, special environments, large dimensions or an unverified vacuum supply may need a custom configuration or a gripping test. eT-Gripper is an integration option, not a complete lifting system selected by weight alone.
