MODULAR GLASS VACUUM LIFTER

eT-Hover-univac vacuum lifter for glass handling

The eT-Hover-univac is a modular, battery-operated lifting device for suitable vacuum-tight glass elements. It supports horizontal and vertical handling, with turning and pivoting options for production, workshop and installation tasks. The suction layout, lifting direction, glass size and supporting crane must be checked together for each application.

Need a starting family before requesting a quote? Use the EUROTECH Vacuum Lifter Selection Guide, then send the actual pane and site details for engineering review.

eT-Hover-univac modular vacuum lifter with four suction cups
eT-Hover-univac; the final suction and arm configuration depends on the load.

Check the direction-specific rating: the 2026 catalogue’s sample device F001947 is listed for 500 kg horizontal or 360 kg vertical handling, with workpiece dimensions up to 3,800 × 1,500 mm for that sample configuration. These figures should be assessed together; they are not a universal rating for every eT-Hover-univac arrangement.

Where this vacuum lifter is a useful starting point

  • Glass production and handling: moving a suitable pane between storage, processing and installation positions where the surface seals reliably.
  • Window and facade installation: handling a large pane when the required horizontal-to-vertical movement, turning, crane and site conditions have been specified. See the glass vacuum lifter installation guide for a comparison with the compact line-mini and eT-Litocran attachment.
  • Other vacuum-tight sheet materials: ask EUROTECH to assess the actual surface, dimensions and handling motion. For horizontal-only transfer of large sheets, compare the eT-Hover-panel starting point.

Catalogue example and modular options

2026 catalogue exampleHG SD 360 04 400 RL; item F001947
Rated load for this example500 kg horizontal; 360 kg vertical
Listed workpiece dimensionsUp to 3,800 × 1,500 mm for this example
Power and vacuum generationBattery operation is described in the glass-handling brochure. Sample F001947 lists a diaphragm pump, 2.1 m³/h, 12 V DC; confirm the power arrangement supplied with your version.
Device weight60 kg for this example; include the chosen lifter and any attachments in the crane-load calculation
Handling and movementHorizontal and/or vertical handling. The glass-handling brochure describes continuous manual 360° in-plane rotation and a 90° manual pivot; assisted pivoting depends on the selected arrangement.
Expanded arrangementUp to 700 kg is described for an expanded version. Extension arms and additional suction plates may be required; confirm the approved drawing, direction-specific rating and workpiece dimensions for the complete version.

The 700 kg figure must not be combined automatically with the 3,800 × 1,500 mm dimensions of sample F001947. The EUROTECH glass-handling brochure ties its 700 kg ratings to four additional suction plates.

What to send for a correct selection

  • Glass type, complete unit weight, length, width and thickness; include a drawing or photo if available.
  • Required lifting direction and movement: horizontal transfer, vertical handling, in-plane rotation or pivoting.
  • Pick-up and placement locations, surface condition, available contact area and any frames, coatings or obstructions.
  • Indoor or outdoor work, exposure and available power or charging arrangement.
  • Crane or telehandler model, capacity at the working radius, lift height and available headroom.

Common selection questions

Is the standard eT-Hover-univac rated for 700 kg?

No. The 2026 catalogue describes 500 kg in the standard version and an expanded 700 kg version. The sample F001947 has separate 500 kg horizontal and 360 kg vertical ratings; ask for the rating of the exact assembled device.

Can the horizontal rating be used for a vertical installation?

No. The catalogue example has different horizontal and vertical ratings. Cup type, surface, orientation, wind and the full movement path must be reviewed for the intended site.
