More Than 20 Years of Suction Cup Cover Development
The technology behind euroTECH’s protective suction cup covers can be traced back more than two decades. A German priority filing was made in 2002, followed by European patent application EP03018816 in 2003. The application was published as EP1391404A1 under the title “Gripping device with a covering.” Peter Bunnenberg is named as the inventor, and the patent documentation specifically addresses the handling of delicate surfaces, including glass plates.
The concept later became associated with MTC suction cup covers for surface-sensitive vacuum handling applications. Today, MTC covers continue to provide a protective interface between vacuum suction cups and sensitive workpiece surfaces.

Pannkoke 388 with an MTC Cover: Published Load-Test Video
Pannkoke Vacuum Lifter published this video in July 2019 to examine the load-carrying behaviour of a Pannkoke 388 suction cup fitted with an MTC suction plate cover.
The video concerns a specific cup-and-cover combination. It does not establish a load rating for other configurations or demonstrate mark-free performance. Fit, holding capacity and surface results should be checked for your application.
