Glass Installation
Glass Vacuum Lifters for Window Installation
Installing a window or facade panel requires more than gripping the glass. The lifting device must suit the pane weight and dimensions, outdoor orientation, required pivot or rotation, available battery power and the crane or mobile carrier. EUROTECH offers compact battery-powered lifters and a mobile positioning attachment for different installation tasks.

Choose the starting family around the installation method
| Starting point | Typical reason to consider it | Essential check |
|---|---|---|
| eT-Hover-univac-line-mini | Compact battery-powered lifting of a suitable pane, with manual 90° pivoting and continuous manual 360° rotation. | The catalogue lists 200 kg indoors. For outdoor vertical use it lists 100 kg with bellows cups or 140 kg with flat cups; confirm the exact cup arrangement. |
| eT-Hover-univac | Handling and installation of larger panes where horizontal/vertical movement and pivoting or rotation are needed. | The listed standard example is 500 kg horizontally and 360 kg vertically. An expanded 700 kg configuration requires added components and a fresh application check. |
| eT-リトクラン700 | Fine positioning with a suitable telehandler or mobile crane for window and facade installation. | It is a mobile attachment used with a compatible eT-Hover-univac configuration. Confirm the carrier load chart, reach, complete assembly and site conditions. |

Why the highest capacity is not enough
A pane that is safe to carry horizontally may have a different vertical or outdoor rating. Cup type, seal quality, panel dimensions, wind exposure and the full movement path matter. For more on the gripping surface, review vacuum handling and suction cups for glass. Rotation within a plane, a 90° pivot and a 180° turnover are different motions and should be specified separately. For very large glass panes moved vertically in a factory, the eT-Hover-grid family is another option to discuss, but it is not a substitute for evaluating an outdoor installation system.
For a real installation example using the mobile attachment, see EUROTECH’s eT-Litocran window and facade installation story.
Information to send for an installation review
- Glass type, pane or framed-unit weight, dimensions, thickness and a drawing or photo.
- Gripping face and coating; horizontal or vertical pick-up and final orientation.
- Required pivot, in-plane rotation or fine positioning at the opening.
- Indoor or outdoor work, site exposure, available charging and power.

Common selection questions
Can I use an indoor glass rating for outdoor vertical installation?
No. Use the rating for the exact orientation, cup type and operating conditions. The line-mini catalogue, for example, gives lower outdoor vertical figures than its indoor rating.
Is eT-Litocran a complete vacuum lifter by itself?
It is a mobile positioning attachment. The compatible lifting device, carrier, reach and complete installation arrangement must be specified together.
Product details are based on the EUROTECH 2026 catalogue, pp. 456–459 and 474–475, and the eT-Litocran brochure. Final ratings and suitability depend on the complete configuration and site assessment.
