Engineering history: protective suction cup covers
Protective covers create an interface between a suction cup and a sensitive workpiece. The historical European patent EP1391404 describes a covering for a gripping device and names Peter Bunnenberg as inventor and EURO-TECH Vakuum-, Hebe- und Transporttechnik as the historical applicant.
This historical applicant name is distinct from today’s euroTECH Handling GmbH. The record is included as background to the technology, not as a claim that the Taiwan company owns the patent.
