For flat glass, mirrors, laminated panels or other glass products, check the actual contact surface and processing conditions before selecting a cup. Coatings, surface texture, moisture, temperature and contamination can affect sealing, friction and marking. Cup selection should be assessed together with the complete handling system and its operating instructions. Before handling glass, consider the following precautions:

Select glass suction cups by the operating conditions at the contact surface, not by cup diameter alone. The effective suction area and available pressure difference influence holding force, while friction, acceleration, load direction and the handling system’s safety requirements affect the usable capacity.

• Surface and geometry: Match the sealing lip and cup shape to the contact area. Curved, coated or textured surfaces require application-specific evaluation.
• Material and temperature: Compare the specified cup compounds for temperature, cleaning agents, wear and contact requirements. Refer to the individual product data rather than assuming every cup of the same material performs identically.
• Mounting and support: Check the connection, base plate, bolt pattern and available clearance against the existing machine. Similar external dimensions do not establish compatibility.
• Vacuum and load: Confirm the operating vacuum, cup arrangement and load conditions using the equipment manufacturer’s selection guidance.

Peralatan pengangkat vakum dengan cangkir hisap untuk kaca

Suction cups are one part of a glass vacuum lifter. The rated capacity and permitted operating conditions apply to the complete configured system, including its lifting frame, cup positions, vacuum supply, monitoring devices and connections. A replacement cup should therefore be checked against the equipment manufacturer’s requirements before use.

Inspect the glass and contact surfaces, maintain the vacuum system and follow the specified lifting procedure. Vacuum handling does not remove the need for clean contact areas or protect glass from every source of damage.

For replacement or new applications, send EUROTECH the machine make and model, existing cup reference, dimensions, mounting details and photos. Include the glass type, surface condition, load and handling orientation so that suitable options can be assessed.
